The DVD follows Todd and Mist over 18 months; from birth, their first time with sheep, and culminating in working on a sixty-acre park with a large flock. Whilst Mist lacks confidence early on, Todd is more feisty and challenging. The subject of gripping sheep, amongst many others, is discussed at length. There is something here for everyone.

Some clients have reported that they have DVD players which play and support PAL and have experienced no problems at all. Depending on the age of the player older ones may have issues with fast forwarding or rewinding. This is not the fault of the DVD itself.
If you have a laptop or desktop computer running Windows 8.5, I am reliably informed that clients have been able to play the DVD using Media Player. Windows 10 also runs Media player. You may also be able to watch the DVD on VLC player. Please check that they are able to support PAL.
"Sheepdog Training and Trials is for all dogs and dog lover s not just for sheepdog owners and enthusiasts" - Amazon Review
"This comprehensive, invaluable book describes innovative ways of training sheepdogs, addressing a number of subjects that have not been adequately covered in previous publications, such as working with sensitive dogs, dogs lacking in confidence, the square movement method, & the concepts of opposites. The volume is brimming with practical advice that will help handlers to find solutions to difficult problems. Written by an acknowledged expert, Sheepdog Training & Trials discusses in a variety of settings new concepts such as the author's theory of 'passive resistance' and the 'pressure on/off' technique. In addition, the author considers ways of optimizing a dog's health, energy, fitness and peak performance. This book is essential reading for trialists along with those who wish to improve their sheepdog training techniques, as well as those who have a passion for border collies". Foreword by the Duke of Devonshire. Reviews by John Craven OBE, presenter of BBC Country File and Gwyn Jones, Three Times International Supreme Champion.
"For me, the real strength of this book is that it dares to delve deeply into dog and sheep psychology but always with the purpose of finding practical solutions to the inevitable problems you come across when training a working sheepdog." -
"The author is clearly knowledgeable about his subject and offers some interesting new concepts about training dogs such as the passive resistance theory and the concept of opposites." - Jo Deacon
